Subject: Stelco Inc.- Salaried Retirees- Pension @ Benefits Status

As a person with 39 years of service to Stelco I retired very smug as I reviewed my financial prognosis. I assumed my monetary security equal to a long serving Federal MP or a Provincial Premier.

Reality came to me as Stelco filed for CCAA protection and the vultures began circling overhead with the intent of feeding off my carrion to satisfy the bond holders, Stelco management, banks, and any entity EXCEPT the retirees and employees.

The reason that I am exposed to such a dire demise is because past politicians were negligent in that they gave away the rights that I had earned by refusing to act and by acting without concern for pensions. You are well aware of the details so I see no need to reiterate the sad saga.

Given the above I expect the current Ontario government to correct the mistakes of past governments and respond as if this was a MPP's pension fund and create a solution that protects all past, existing and future workers of Stelco.To this end soliciting the federal government is likely.

To date I am not aware of any action to advance Stelco pensioners welfare by any politician.

I have been subjected to what is likely more explanations, excuses, and bafflegab that would challenge the most inventive of minds, but no solutions.

Do not forget Stelco is as important as car and aircraft companies.

 I and approximately 4000 salaried pensioners have retained Murray Gold to represent us and I would appreciate it if your response and any interaction is copied to Mr. Gold.

When will your government declare a profound and positive interest in Stelco's pensioners file??

What will be the benefits to pensioners in your declaration??
