Initial Assessment

As mentioned in our January 2, 2004 communication we are making an initial assessment of $50 per member.  So far our expenses have been low, however, we have been warned that some of the options open to Stelco can happen very quickly and we must be prepared.  Therefore adequate funding must be in place to allow our lawyers to commence legal action on our behalf if conditions dictate.  In the event of impending legal action, additional assessments will be required to sustain the fund.  Strict accounting will be maintained and unused monies will be returned.

Please make your $50.00 cheque payable to: Stel Salaried Pensioners Organization, and mail to:

Your cancelled cheque will be your receipt.

We would request that members give this matter their urgent attention.

The Steering Committee thanks you for your support.

Adequate funding is essential for this process to go forward.
