Dear Former Paid Member

We notice you failed to renew your SSPO Annual Membership last year. No problem. Annual Memberships for 2007/2008 are available at the door for only $25, or if you prefer, by mail (Stel Salaried Pensioners Organization, 2-558 Upper Gage Ave., Suite 146, Hamilton, Ont., L8V 4J6 – your cancelled cheque is your receipt). Your friends at SSPO look forward to having your renewed support for our united efforts to safeguard our pension and benefits. Members will be afforded the opportunity to ask questions. Spouses/Partners welcome.

Agenda items will include:

§ Receiving and approving the financial statement for the financial year ended June 30, 2007 and the auditor’s report thereon. Appointment of auditors for the 2008 financial year.

§ Receiving and approving the 2008 financial budget.

§ Report of Directors on the activities of SSPO and other matters of importance to members since the October 26, 2006 membership meeting: Pension Advisory Committee Activities, Pensioner’s Federation Activities, Pension Funding Status, Effect on our Pension & Benefits with pending sale to U.S. Steel, etc.

§ Appointment/Election of four Directors

§ New Business & Questions from the floor.

Note: In accordance with the SSPO By-law, all questions placed before the meeting of the members shall be decided by a simple majority of votes of the members “in-good-standing” in attendance.
