NOTICE OF ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING

WHERE: Hamilton Convention Centre, Wentworth Room A, 1 Summer's Lane, Hamilton

Dear Member:

The 2007 Annual Membership Meeting is being held in accordance with the SSPO By-law. Members are encouraged to make every effort to attend to receive a first-hand update on the latest events from your Board Of Directors. Spouses/Partners welcome. You will be afforded the opportunity to ask questions.

Agenda items will include:

§ Receiving and approving the financial statement for the financial year ended June 30, 2007 and the auditor’s report thereon. Appointment of auditors for the 2008 financial year.

§ Receiving and approving the 2008 financial budget.

§ Report of Directors on the activities of SSPO and other matters of importance to members since the October 26, 2006 membership meeting: Pension Advisory Committee Activities, Pensioner’s Federation Activities, Pension Funding Status, Effect on our Pension & Benefits with pending sale to U.S. Steel, etc.

§ Appointment/Election of four Directors

§ New Business & Questions from the floor.

Note: In accordance with the SSPO By-law, all questions placed before the meeting of the members shall be decided by a simple majority of votes of the members in attendance. Please bring the yellow notice card you received in the mail to the meeting to identify you as a member “in-good standing”. You may elect to send a family member to act as a proxy on your behalf by simply identifying your proxy (family member) on the front of the card and authorizing with your signature.
